Transactional Finance Manager

Astute Recruitment is working with a fantastic supportive business based in Chesterfield to recruit a full time Transactional Finance Manager to join an already fantastic finance team.

This role is for someone who genuinely loves what they do and wants to be a part of a well-established company.

Reporting to the Management Accountant your duties will include:

• Supporting the implementation of a new finance system across the group, providing training where necessary
• Input on current processes and procedures to suggest new improved ways of working, driving efficiencies whilst managing stakeholders expectations
• Managing the transactional finance team (4 full time), providing development, mentoring and support
• Ensure accurate, timely and compliant management of all accounting transactions
• Ensuring VAT and withholding tax (WHT), and all payroll related returns are submitted and paid by appropriate deadlines
• Produce/review balance sheet reconciliations for payroll, VAT and WHT, purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank and intercompany accounts
• Month end journals
• Support with cashflow forecasting
• Support with external audit queries

Your background:

• Exceptional organisational and communication skills
• A positive driven attitude with the ability to build relationships
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Confident in the use of Microsoft Excel
• Experience of group accounting and foreign currency transactions desirable but not essential
• Professional accountancy qualification desirable but not essential

Benefits and hours:

• Salary up to £35,000 depending on previous experience
• 9:00am – 5:30pm
• 30-minute lunch
• Early Friday finish
• 25 days plus bank holidays
