• Temporary Payroller

    Location: Derbyshire Salary: £28,000 Position: Temporary

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroller to join a busy and friendly team in based in Derby for a 12-to-18-month fixed term contract with excellent chances of this becoming permanent within this growing organisation.

     

    As a Payroller you will be reporting to the Payroll Manager and supporting the payroll department and team, your responsibilities will be to managing the start to end payroll processes, including statutory payments and pensions.

     

    The main duties of the Payroll Clerk will be:

     

    • Providing support to the payroll department and team
    • Processing starters and leavers information
    • Calculating monthly payroll from start to finish including starters, leavers and statutory payments
    • Processing SSP/SMP calculations and statutory documents such as P6, P45, P60, Court Orders, Tax credits and Student Loans
    • Overseeing the annual P11D
    • Managing a variety of company pension schemes
    • Investigating and resolving payroll queries
    • Working to strict deadlines
    • Ad hoc duties

     

    Ideal candidate for the role of Payroll Clerk:

     

    • Experience and knowledge of Payroll processes
    • Able to work within high volume payroll environment
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Able to work to strict deadlines
    • Knowledge of Sage or other payroll systems
    • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
