• Temporary Credit Control Manager

    Location: Derbyshire Salary: £40,000 Position: Temporary

    This is an exciting opportunity for Credit Control Manager with a strong track record within credit control / risk management, to work in a fast-paced working environment, able to lead process improvements and system implementation of projects, with the aim of reduction of aged arrears based in a secure and stable company located in Alfreton, on a 12-month fixed term contract.

     

    As the Credit Control Manager, you will be managing a large team of 12 plus staff

     

    The main responsibilities of the Credit Control Manager:

     

    • Managing credit control team including performance management and setting collection targets.
    • Overseeing and producing reports on a daily / weekly / monthly cycles basis including DSO, cash collections, past due reports, bad debt and credit note provisions and liquidity reporting
    • Oversight of customer on-boarding process including credit checks and ongoing credit monitoring
    • Coordinating weekly cash collection calls with key stakeholders and escalating collection issues on a timely basis
    • Oversight of debt collection using procedures such as sending statements, reminder letters and phone calls
    • Resolving and escalating collection and invoicing issues on a timely basis
    • Working continuously to improvements in cash collection
    • Completing and managing month end close processes as required
    • Development and implementation of standard operations procedures for accounts receivable and credit risk
    • Ensure all team members follow the accounting principles
    • Stay updated on industry and legislative changes

     

    Skills and Qualifications:

     

    • Experience of working in a sizable / corporate credit function would be advantage.
    • Proven track record of process improvement
    • Strong Credit Control experience
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Able to be proactively identifying issues and implementing processes and systems
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with both customers and colleagues at all levels

     

    The team is well established and is a friendly environment to work in. Salary is £40,000. Hybrid working with some flexibility on start and finish times. A fantastic and challenging position.
