• Payroll Administrator

    Location: Derbyshire Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 Position: Permanent

    Astute have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join a dynamic, expanding business in Derby. As a Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for helping the Senior Payroll Administrator with any tasks for the payroll department and any pay queries and issues that occur within the Finance Department.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities of a Payroll Administrator:

     

    • Excellent communication skills with people at all levels, both internal and external
    • Be proficient in Sage Payroll
    • Help with the Weekly/monthly Pension queries
    • Ensure all new starters and leavers are entered onto the system in a timely fashion
    • Process any HMRC updates that are received onto the system
    • Process the weekly/monthly PAYE payroll
    • Provide weekly/monthly reports for Accountants and Month End
    • Complete the weekly Umbrella payroll spreadsheets and send to the relevant companies.
    • Generate the Umbrella company’s invoices on a weekly basis
    • Send processed payrolls to the banks to be paid
    • Deal with queries from the divisions and Directors
    • Deal with our external Business partners when any issues arise (Sage & IT)
    • Thorough knowledge of the company’s mission, vision and values

     

    To apply for this role, you will need prior payroll experience and knowledge of Sage.

     

    This is an office-based role, and you will be required to work 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (with some flexibility). In return you will benefit from 25 days holiday, free parking and a salary of £20,000 – £23,000.
