• Part Time HR Manager

    Location: Derbyshire Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (pro rata) Position: Permanent

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time HR Manager to join a well-established family run property development business based between Derby and Ashbourne on a part time basis 20 hours per week.

     

    The HR Manager’s main function will be to maintain and develop effective people-related processes and strategy that aligns with business goals.

     

    Duties include:

     

    • Manage the recruitment and onboarding of new employees
    • Handle employment relations issues including grievances, disciplinaries, absence and employee welfare
    • Maintain employee records including contracts, absence, formal meetings and leaver documentation
    • Maintain records and organise/propose training to ensure the business is fully compliant re H&S
    • Manage talent pools, workforce and succession plans to ensure business continuity
    • Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and consistency across all functions
    • Provide professional advice and guidance to Directors, managers, and employees regarding all people related matters
    • Ensure continuous GDPR compliance
    • Provide quarterly HR report for the Board of Directors
    • Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills

     

    Experience / Skills Required:

     

    • CIPD Qualified ideally level 5
    • A thorough understanding of employment law
    • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and integrity
    • Excellent communication skills, able to listen and effectively verbalise ideas
    • Evidence of implementing robust HR policies, procedures and systems
    • Solid ethics, morals and sound judgement
    • Ability to work independently and resourcefully under own motivation
    • A proactive team player
    • Calm and organised, able to deal with stressful situations
    • Good attention to detail
    • Excellent time-management skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Proficient in MS Office with an aptitude to learn new software and systems

     

    Annual salary: £35,000 – £40,000 pro rata (20 hours per week). The client is flexible and would look at either 3 full days or splitting the hours over 4 or 5 days. 25 days holiday (pro rata). Super modern offices with free parking.
