Management Accountant

At Astute Recruitment, we are working with an International Manufacturer in their search for a Management Accountant based near Sutton in Ashfield.

Reporting directly into the Managing director, this role forms part of the Senior management team with the responsibility of a small finance team. This is a succession role due to retirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the external business relationships with the Bank, Lenders, Insurance and external Accountants/ Auditors
• Cash-flow management for the business – producing reports and analysis to reflect the company’s current and forecasted revenue streams
• Ongoing development and management of the extensive stock and cost of sales reconciliation at individual SKU level
• Responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day financial operations and financial planning
• Maintain and develop better insights into integrated monthly reporting, forecasting, cash control, and margin analysis
• Day-today management of the small finance team
• Hedging:
• Manage the company’s foreign exchange options
• Liaison with external broker to partner the business to protect the margin from adverse currency movements
• ‘Spot’ purchases of multiple currency options with the aim of realizing profit over time. (Mainly Euro, UDS and GB Sterling)

Skills and Experience:

• Professional qualification desired but not essential
• Excellent IT skills particularly in Excel and Power BI
• Management Accountant with demonstrable and successful experience in an SME environment
• Experience in Manufacturing with an emphasis on stock and sales reconciliation

Our client offers flexible start times based on 39 hours per week. This role is offering between £35,000- £50,000 and 23-days holiday.
