• FP&A Business Partner

    Location: Derbyshire Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Position: Permanent

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to progress their career with a leading International group of companies. It is an FP&A role with a focus on strategic business partnering to support ongoing efficiencies and business opportunities.

     

    Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key analysis and business partnering role which requires an eye for detail, the ability to analyse and interpret data, excellent IT and presentation skills, and the confidence to build strong relationships with senior managers and their teams across the organisation to improve commerciality and financial understanding.

     

    Your key mission is to generate insights to drive the right commercial decisions for the business.

     

    • You will develop strong cross-functional business relationships with the local commercial team to drive the long-term profitability of the business through data intelligence, while pursuing opportunities which will deliver profitable growth
    • You will ensure integrity in financial reporting via close collaboration with Sales and Marketing, while leading projects to develop and implement tools which will drive standardisation and harmonisation in financial planning and reporting activities
    • You will ensure that best-in-class Internal Controls are in place, and support internal as well as external auditors
    • Lead the commercial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including sales & profitability forecasts at a product and customer level
    • Take financial ownership of the P&L from Gross Sales to Operating Profit, as well as Inventory and liabilities with Customers

     

    Your background:

     

    • Previous experience in a similar role is essential
    • Possess a track record in playing a lead role in budgeting and forecasting processes, along with excellent commercial acumen, with the ability to develop strong business relationships
    • Be able to use analytics to drive business decisions
    • Demonstrate the ability to deliver process improvement and change management
    • Have strong commercial acumen – understanding the wider context in which a business operates
    • Have excellent communication and influencing skills – being able to explain the nature of issues as well as potential solutions to stakeholders at varied levels
    • Willingly takes ownership of problems and opportunities – with ability to prioritise in a context of multiple activities while ensuring key deadlines are met
    • Have excellent Excel skills, and strong technical understanding, particularly with relational database models
