Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
We are currently working with a highly successful multinational business who have a Finance Analyst vacancy within their commercial finance team based in Chesterfield. The position reports to the FD and has been created to meet the analytical requirements of the business. The role also offers excellent career development with the expectation of developing into a Senior Finance Analyst role within 12 – 18 months.
The main focus of the role is project based financial analysis and business partnering in order to help improve profitability and key duties will include:
- Cost centre reporting
- Variance analysis to budgets
- Partnering and liaising with departmental managers to understate the numbers and key metrics
- Investigative analysis of the numbers to understand the detail and make informed decisions on where improvements can be made for example to stock and supply chain
- Create action plans to improve business processes, systems and maximise profitability
- Working with the wider finance team and other divisions such as IT to assist with the implementation of systems such as data warehousing
- Reporting on sales and stock levels
The role requires an individual who combines both a solid finance background with strong IT/Systems analysis skills, including programming knowledge, for example VBA, SQL, C++, R. In addition, experience/good knowledge of Business Reporting, Business Intelligence & Data Visualition tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense or other similar tools required. As there is a high level of interaction with key stakeholders across the business you will also be able to demonstrate excellent relationship building and communication skills.
This really would suit a tech savvy, ambitious individual with a passion for delving into the data/numbers to look for ways to further improve financial performance. If you are currently studying or keen to study professional finance exams this will be supported by the company as well as excellent training development and coaching on the job.
Salary will be in the region of £30,000 – £32,000 with scope to increase within a relatively short time frame and the package will include Pension Scheme, Private Medical Insurance, 25 days holiday and free parking. The position is full-time with standard working hours.
