• Finance & Administration Clerk

    Location: Nottinghamshire Salary: £17,000 - £18,500 Position: Permanent

    A growing manufacturing business based in Sutton in Ashfield are currently looking for a Finance & Administration Clerk to join the team due to expansion. This role will be extremely varied and your main duties as Finance & Administration Clerk will include:

     

    • Enter customer sales orders and liaise with colleagues to ensure that goods are available to fulfil these orders
    • Process all customer receipts on a daily basis and allocate cash accordingly
    • Ensure any cheque or cash receipts are banked with the Company’s bankers on the day of receipt
    • Issue Customer credit limit requests to the Company’s insurers, follow up and enter onto the Company’s business system as required
    • Send statements to customers and supporting documentation to customers on a monthly and ad-hoc basis
    • Complete all required month end activities in line with the month end timetable
    • Process and administer any customer complaints, including validation and authorisation in line with prevailing authority limits in place
    • Chase overdue amounts with customers and to coordinate the process of putting accounts on hold in line with the Company credit control policy
    • Issue a monthly credit control report and 7-day letters to customers and to process legal claims when required
    • Assist the Company with ad-hoc activities as required and provide cover for other staff when necessary

     

    The role is paying between £17,000 – £18,500, hours of work are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with 30 minutes for lunch, Monday to Friday, free parking, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
