• Corporate Accounting Manager

    Location: Derbyshire Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 Position: Permanent

    Reporting to the Finance Director EMEA this is a new role responsible for providing technical financial reporting guidance across the EMEA region, and Corporate centre.

     

    The role will also support EMEA legal entity simplification projects, treasury, and cash repatriation projects and be the central corporate accounting expert for the EMEA region.

     

    Duties:

     

    • Oversee the review and preparation of statutory financial statements under FRS 102 for all UK entities, including the coordination of disclosure items and tax calculations
    • Oversee the implementation of an automated, more visible UK financial statement preparation process and roll-out to EMEA entities with the Financial Reporting Manager
    • Provide technical support and training to EMEA on a variety of issues including US GAAP and new/revised accounting standards
    • Participate in legal entity organisational structure changes such as mergers, business transfers and strike-offs
    • Participate in initiatives such as capital reductions, capital contributions and dividends, including process for identifying and monitoring of distributable reserves
    • Oversee the audit process and liaise with the auditors regarding outstanding information and resolution of issues, in particularly associated with legal entity changes
    • Assist with the collation and coordination of SOX documentation and audits throughout the territory
    • Support territory level projects such as continuous improvement and transformation projects

     

    Required Skills and Experience:

     

    • ACA or ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant
    • Preparation of financial statements demonstrating up-to-date technical knowledge
    • Broad accounting experience demonstrating adaptability and application of technical knowledge.
    • Corporate Accounting experience
    • Strong technical accounting policy knowledge (FRS 102 / US GAAP)
    • Audit experience
    • Balance Sheet Controls and Reconciliation experience
    • Strong team player, able to maintain and build strong relationships across the territory, EMEA finance, tax and treasury team
    • Understand the process and requirements of change management
    • Strong project management skills
    • Technology – ERP and planning and reporting systems knowledge and experience
    • European language skills a bonus
