• Assistant Finance Manager

    Location: Leicestershire Salary: £35,000 Position: Permanent

    As a result of business growth, our client is recruiting a multi-skilled Assistant Finance Manager. This is a newly created role supporting the Finance Manager with statutory reporting, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.

     

    Your role will include:

     

    • Control and input of month end accruals/prepayments
    • Assist in group monthly and quarterly reporting
    • Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
    • Maintaining fixed asset register and calculating depreciation charges
    • Intercompany Reconciliations
    • Purchase Order Accruals and Review
    • VAT returns, reconciliations, and payments
    • Support external and internal audit as required
    • Mentor and support team members when required

     

    Your background:

     

    • Prior experience gained in a similar role is key, supporting varied monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes
    • Preferably AAT qualified
    • Experience of Purchase and Sales ledgers
    • Ability to deputise for Finance Manager when required
    • Ability to communicate effectively with varied stakeholders
    • Excellent IT skills – able to work with Pivots, Lookups, and Sumifs in Excel
    • Strong team player with a can-do, relaxed attitude
