• Accounts Assistant

    Location: Derbyshire Salary: £18,000 - £21,000 Position: Permanent

    A growing business based in Ashby de la Zouch are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team on a permanent, full time basis. Working in a small, but busy team you will be responsible for a range of duties to support the finance function of the business.

     

    The main duties include but are not limited to:

     

    • Raising purchase orders
    • Tracking and coding invoices
    • Processing expenses
    • Credit card reconciliation
    • Raising sales invoices
    • Credit control, effectively chasing outstanding debts
    • Managing Fixed Asset register
    • VAT returns and EC Sales list returns
    • Processing quotations
    • Reception duties, answering and transferring calls
    • General administration e.g. record keeping and filing
    • Resolving queries effectively in a timely manner

     

    The successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar position and be able to demonstrate a good background in accounts, such as Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control.

     

    This role would suit someone who is able to use their own initiative and work autonomously, while also being happy to assist colleagues in other duties where required. The ideal candidate would possess good Excel skills and knowledge of the Xero accounts package.

     

    The company are offering a salary of £18,000 – £24,000 dependent on experience, 25 days holiday and onsite parking. The hours of work are 9.00 am – 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch.
